This City of Trees is a great place to visit in fall with different colored leaves falling around. One can look at the amazing structure of Capitol Building at the end of park. It is perfect place to walk in spring afternoon and may get a chance to see a politician or a protester of some war.
It is a large park with nearly a mile around with a botanical collection of different types of trees, plants and flowers from different part of world. Rose gardens, sour oranges, tall palms that line the path, pond with turtles highlight the park. The park contains large number of squirrels that entertain everyone.

There are loads of memorials and bronze statues of various fighters. One can find Statues of service men and women who gave up their lives in Vietnam war, California Veterans Memorial honoring the fighters in Civil war, American war, World War I & II, and Firemen etc and also a huge statue of Junipero Serra. A memorial of Civil War is dedicated to American side.
