Sacramento Charter High School is an independent public charter school situated in the Alhambra Triangle near the Oak Park neighborhood in Sacramento, California. Its becoming a charter was approved by the Sacramento City Unified School last July 2003. This charter school was occupied by the Sacramento High School which is the second.

The school is founded in the year 1856, Sacramento High School and has been moved several times. In the year 1922, building began at its present location in the 34th Street. It was opened at in the year 1924 and incessantly served the increasing neighborhoods of the Midtown, East Sacramento, Downtown Sacramento, River Park, Tahoe Park, College Greens, and Oak Park until 2003.

This school was closed through the SCUSD School Board in the month of June 2003, for many objections to students, parents and teachers. The latest charter high school, opened this September 2003, kept back the same school purple and white colors and the dragon amulet but not those Visual and Performing Arts Center that became the schools unique amenities for many years.

There are many sports events and other school activities that you can find in the school. You can find the basketball club, soccer club, baseball club and other sports. You will also find the different clubs of each subject such as math, English, science and others.
