The art museum is now seeking a Development Assistant, Membership. This is a full-time non-exempt job that is responsible to Membership & Database Manager. The position is required to coordinate the Raiser's Edge database of donors and perform the data entry tasks for the Development Department. The position also offers friendly customer service for museum members and donors and takes charge of stewardship activities.
Requirements include:
- AA or equivalent experience.
- Absolutely accurate date entry skills.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of office experience.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience.
- Perfect writing and verbal communication skills.
- Efficient administrative skills.

A limited number of internships are offered by the Crocker Art Museum each year. Students interested in gaining invaluable professional experience within the museum filed are welcome to the Crocker. Undergraduate juniors & seniors, graduate students and doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply for the internship positions if you're looking for first-hand experience in museum education, museum management and art history. There're five internship openings currently.
1) Public Relations Intern
The intern position has a flexible work schedule of at least 10 hours each week and requires a minimum four month commitment. Qualified interns are expected to get a better understanding of public and media relations and improve organizational, relational and professional skills. To qualify for the position, you must be undertaking a bachelor's or master's degree in Public Relations or Communication or related field. Basic public or media relations experience or coursework and good writing and verbal communication skills are essential.

2) Docent Education Intern
Primary responsibilities include assistance of Docent Education Coordinator, support of Docent Training Classes and coordination of evaluation of the curriculum. Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills are required. Art History, History or other related coursework is preferred. BA or MA candidates in Art History, Museum Education, Museum Studies or Art Education are desirable. The unpaid intern requires 6 weeks' work.

3) School Programs Intern
One school programs intern is needed to assist in the development of school and teacher programs at the museum. Qualified candidates must possess experience in teaching a range of ages and basic computer skills and communication skills are a must. This position works about 1020 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

4) Life-Long Learning Programs/Education Intern
This program lasts 3 months and the intern is required to work 10-15 hours per week. The job works to help research, develop and implement all kinds of programs for the Manager of Lifelong Learning. 5) Classical Concert Series Intern
The museum seeks two 3-month classical concert series interns, assisting with the planning and implementation of the classical concert series at Crocker Art Museum.
