The ARCO Arena is now known as the Power Balance Pavilion. When it was firstly completed in 1988, this spectacular building just replaced the old ARCO Arena which had been home to the NBA's Sacramento Kings since its interception in 1985. Sitting on a largely undeveloped land in Sacramento, this magnificent arena covers up to 442,000 square feet.
For years, the Power Balance Pavilion has performed as home to the Sacramento Kings as well as the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs. Plus, this top sports venue also features a rich history of hosting grand events. It used to be the host of the NCAA Western Regional Men's Basketball Tournament and the Ultimate Fighting Championship for multiple times.
As one of the major indoor venues of the Greater Sacramento area, the Arco Arena is a super destination for visitors to enjoy thrilling sports games or any other special events. Admittedly, it would be a pretty good idea for visitors to pay a visit to the ARCO Arena whenever possible and enjoy an engaging and unforgettable event at downtown Sacramento. Thanks to the prime location of this beautiful arena, no matter what kind of transportation you opt to utilize, it is definitely a breeze for you to get there.
However, if you prefer to drive to the Power Balance Pavilion, there is one thing you really need to pay special attention: parking in this area seems to be a little difficult. Although plentiful parking spaces are offered for visitors, it is never going to be a piece of cake for you to find a suitable space for your vehicle. You have to make it clear that there are so many visitors drive to the ARCO Arena, especially on event days.
The Power Balance Pavilion furnishes visitors with a couple of parking lots which features up to 6,000 parking spaces in total. Besides, parking would be allowed on all sides of the arena, excluding the north side of the building. Since the parking lots are scattered around the Power Balance Pavilion and various entrances are provided, visitors from different areas are suggested to park vehicles at the most convenient parking lot. Here, we will recommend you a few nice parking areas and referable driving directions for you to get there.
1) Visitors heading south on I-5 should turn left onto Del Paso Road. And then make a right turn on Commerce Drive. When you arrive at West Entrance Road, bear to the left. Proceed for a little while and you will find a couple of parking lots located on both sides of the road.
2) If you just take I-5 north, it is best to make a right turn onto Arena Boulevard and then bear to the left onto West Commerce Drive. Continue on West Commerce Drive and then take a right turn on West Entrance Road. Keep straight and you will get to Toll Plaza No. 3 parking lot. Or you can turn right to park your vehicle at Sports Parkway, Toll Plaza No. 5 or No. 6.
3) For those who are proceeding on I-80, it is a good idea to take Truxel Road north and make a left turn on Arena Boulevard. When you see South Entrance Road, turn right. Follow South Entrance Road to get into Toll Plaza No. 7 parking lot or choose to make another right turn to enter Toll Plaza No. 8 & No. 9.
If you prefer to exit I-80 through Northgate Boulevard, then you will need to take North Market Boulevard and keep proceeding on Market Boulevard until you see South Entrance Road. Turn onto South Entrance Road and then the ARCO Arena would be on your immediate right. And several parking lots are available within walking distance.

When it comes to parking fees, visitors should really bear in mind that the cost of parking varies a lot by different events. Being home to the Sacramento Monarchs, the ARCO Arena would charge 8 dollars for your parking at any Monarchs game. And you will have to pay 10 dollars for general parking at Sacramento Kings games while the cost for parking for any other events at the Power Balance Pavilion is 12 dollars.
Note that: 1) if you get to the ARCO Arena by your limousines, you will be only permitted to drop off beside the arena's Box Office. And the unified parking rate for limousines is 30 dollars per vehicle.
2) Driving visitors need to park RVs or buses are also required to drop off guests at the entrance next to the Box Office Drive. Parking spaces for RVs and buses are available at Parking Lot M as well as Toll Plaza No. 9 which is situated off Truxel Boulevard. And parking rate for RVs and buses is 30 dollars as well.
3) Handicapped parking spaces are available at Parking Lot H and Toll Plaza No. 5. Visitors can get into these parking lots through David Peterson Drive.
